Job Description

Context

To support the recent acquisition of several important partners, we are searching for a senior project manager to join the International Travel team of Onboarding and Client Services. In addition to projects based in Europe, the role will often involve close interaction with our US and Asian colleagues and partners and therefore requires mastery of English. Working environment is a mix of in-office and teleworking, though always in close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

Role overview

Within the Travel Insurance and Assistance sector, our project managers are responsible for the successful implementation of our international travel contracts. They play an important role in the pre-sales phase to guide our commercials through the solution design process and ultimately take over the project once the contract with the partner is signed. The senior project manager will manage onboardings for partners who represent the preeminent positions in their domain (online travel agencies, airlines, vacation rentals, etc.). Contract implementation projects typically last between 2 and 6 months and it is customary for the project manager to lead multiple projects simultaneously. In addition to managing partner onboardings, the Onboarding and Client Services team addresses partner change requests throughout the run phase of the contract lifecycle and will be involved in the active scoping, planning and execution of these demands. As part of the Global Travel team, this senior project manager will have regular contact with our leading EA entities which drive the international business, most notably France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, the US and Asia (as a region). International working language is English and multi-cultural experience and understanding is key.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop project scope and objectives

  • Develop detailed project plans and track progress

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties throughout the execution of projects

  • Use appropriate techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and/or cost

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders

  • Report and escalate to management as needed

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

In addition to managing key onboarding projects, significant focus will be placed on presales activity where you will track in-flight commercial opportunities, facilitate the flow of deals through the sales quality / approval gates and align on the best holistic solution for our partner / prospect. This requires a thorough understanding of the EA Travel product portfolio so as to offer the best fit for the partner’s target market, adhering to EA standards wherever possible. In addition, a strong knowledge of the technical elements across the value chain, from partner booking path to the exchange of data (whether synchronous via API or asynchronous) from our eclaims portal to our international claims and assistance platforms will be necessary. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Alignment of the various solution elements into a coherent package which delivers upon the partner’s needs and EA’s ability to deliver world-class service

  • Collaboration with internal Travel teams to accurately estimate one-time costs and timelines to onboard the partner

  • Preparation of different solutions when necessary, on the basis of partner context to provide adapted recommended solutions to each partner, taking into account EA strategy

  • Clarity in communication to ensure that the Travel governing body understands and approves the partner offer

  • Handing over clearly documented and approved solutions and plans to Onboarding

Preferred Experience

Requirements

  • Master's degree coming fromTOP schools

  • 15+ years project management, including at least 5 of those years managing complex, international programs

  • Experience and technical agility with respect to digital distribution solutions and insurance and assistance operations

  • Insurance industry experience, with strong preference for Travel Insurance / Assistance

  • Languages: English and French (native or near-native)

  • Excellent written and verbal client-facing and internal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Strong consideration given to candidates with one or more of the following:

  • PMP / Agile certification

  • LEAN (green or black belt)

  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Office, TEAMS, Forms, Flow, Dynamics) and Jira
