Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Delivery Manager to lead three teams within the travel insurance domain. This role is pivotal in responding to business demands and ensuring the delivery of three key applications. The scope primarily involves the digitalization of customer journeys, including sales and claims processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent English proficiency and strong soft skills, as they will represent IT to the business units.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Lead and manage three IT teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to align on goals, track progress, and address any challenges.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.

Vendor Management:

  • Oversee nearshore suppliers based in Hungary and Poland, ensuring they meet quality standards and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors to optimize service delivery.
  • Monitor vendor performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Delivery Oversight:

  • Provide visibility on backlog and delivery capacity through detailed reporting and regular updates.
  • Ensure projects adhere to deadlines, budget constraints, and scope requirements.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align on project priorities and resource allocation.

Production Stability:

  • Guarantee the stability and scalability of production environments by implementing robust monitoring and maintenance practices.
  • Develop and enforce incident management protocols to swiftly address and resolve production issues.
  • Continuously assess and improve system performance to meet evolving business needs.

Process Standardization:

  • Industrialize and standardize demand and delivery management processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Implement best practices for project management, including Agile methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for all processes to ensure clarity and compliance.

Business Alignment:

  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and business units, ensuring IT initiatives support business development goals.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of business partners, providing technical support and guidance.
  • Deliver new functionalities that drive business growth and improve user experience.

Architectural Vision:

  • Define and advocate for a clear architectural vision that aligns with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform architectural decisions.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience: Proven experience in an international context, with a strong track record in IT management.
  • Skills: Excellent English proficiency, strong soft skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Leadership: Solid leadership capabilities to manage priorities and represent IT to business units.
  • Technical Expertise: Ability to support and evolve applications in production.
