Job Description

Lead Europ Assistance Group’s portfolio monitoring process end-to-end (governance, calendar, deliverables), and continuously enhance it with a strong focus on process evolution and automation.

Drive improvements in the Group’s technical profitability

Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and periodic technical performance reviews

Actively contribute to the engagement and coordination of the Group’s Insurance Community

Reporting & Review

· Act as process owner for Group portfolio monitoring: define the yearly monitoring calendar, align stakeholders on inputs/outputs, and ensure timely, consistent delivery across entities.

· Produce regular Group-level reports on portfolio profitability, providing actionable insights for decision-makers.

· Conduct in-depth technical analyses and develop targeted action plans in partnership with underwriting teams.

· Support budget and forecast processes by contributing technical insights and profitability projections in collaboration with finance.

· Review and validate technical assumptions used in budget and forecast exercises to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with Group standards.

· Contribute to the preparation of strategic technical review meetings with subsidiaries, Top Management, and Generali Group Head office to align on performance and priorities.

· Support local entities in adopting best-in-class portfolio management practices, tailored to their specific business contexts.

Methodology & Tools

· Evolve the portfolio monitoring methodology and KPI framework (definitions, lineage, governance) to improve decision-making and comparability across the Group.

· Industrialize and automate data preparation and controls (data quality checks, reconciliations, analysis), leveraging on IA.

· Design, deploy, and continuously improve automated dashboards and early-warning indicators for profitability monitoring, enabling timely insights and faster actions across the Group.

Preferred Experience

· At least 5 years of experience in monitoring technical profitability within the Non-Life Insurance (or Assistance) sector

· Strong background in financial analysis and controlling, with additional experience in pricing and actuarial studies considered a strong asset.

· Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver projects focused on implementing processes and methodologies, ideally within a multinational or cross-cultural environment.

Technical Skills

· Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills

· Solid knowledge of non-life insurance finance and accounting principles

· Understanding of pricing and reserving principles, with experience in collaboration with actuarial teams

· Proficient in data analysis, ideally with hands-on experience using R, Python, and Power BI for reporting and visualization

· Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution, able to align diverse stakeholders and build consensus
