Job Description

This job offer is situated at Holding level i.e. within the central teams in charge of coordinating activities on a group-wide basis, and more specifically based within the Risk Department. As a Risk Manager under the direct supervision of the Group Chief Risk Officer, you will be in charge of coordinating and animating Enterprise Risk Management activities across the Group.

In an international environment, working at the Holding company of the Group, your responsibilities will include :

  • International coordination of risk management activities :

    • Supervise the risk management activities carried out at local level, through periodic contacts with the local Risk Managers,
    • Organize the yearly planning of risk management activities at central and local levels,
    • Ensure local regulatory requirements (USA, Australia, Canada) are properly taken into account, in addition to the Solvency II framework requirements for European companies
  • Risk Management Governance :

    • Coordinate with Generali Group central teams in order to adapt, cascade and implement their instructions,
    • Ensure all group policies and procedures are appropriately cascaded, approved an implemented locally,
    • Participate when relevant to local Risk Committees,
    • Organize and hold Group risk committees,
  • Execute risk mapping activities :

    • Coordinate the execution of risk mapping activities : MRSA, SRA, etc. in coordination with other Risk Managers in the central team in charge of specific risk categories,
    • Develop and implement specific Europ Assistance risk management activities,
    • Contribute to the implementation of ESG-related risk monitoring activities,
  • Risk monitoring :

    • Monitor on a periodic basis the main risks all companies of the group have to face, with a particular focus on regulated companies (insurance companies),
    • Set up risk monitoring tools and dashboard to track main risk categories,
    • Centralize risk issues known from all risk management related sources : data quality, GFRR, audit issues, incident, IT risk management, etc. and track down their associate remedial actions.
  • Risk reporting :

    • Contribute to the production of the main Risk reports (ORSA etc.)
    • Prepare the necessary risk reportings to Senior Management

Preferred Experience

  • MBA education or equivalent,

  • 4-5 years of prior experience in risk management or equivalent field,

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is a strong plus,

  • Prior experience of working in a international environment,

  • English proficiency mandatory as most of the work done in English,

  • Good communication and adaptation skills to work in a dynamic and complex environment, and interact with executives/senior executives on a frequent basis
