Job Description

Reporting to the CIO Colombus, Business analyst will review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs.

He will be in charge of turning business demands / requirements into IT specifications, user stories or epics enabling development teams to implement business requirements for major international contracts

1.      Business requirements capturing and documentation

  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

  • Perform requirements analysis.

  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.

  • Work closely with internal/external clients, Columbus business team, IT, Ops and managerial staff.

  • Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

  • Properly document business requirements and findings

2.      IT Solutioning

  • Propose solutioning in coordination with Columbus business and tech teams

  • Write IT specifications & business requirements, user stories and epics

  • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and implement solutions.

  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements.

3. Communication

  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to stakeholders and management.

4.      Validation and testing

  • Perform user acceptance testing.

  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of requested solution upgrades.

Preferred Experience

·       Bachelor's or master's degree in Information technology, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience

·       Perfect command of English (in written & in spoken)

·       Experience creating detailed business requirement reports and giving presentations

·      Minimum of 5 years' experience as BA working in both waterfall and agile methodology

·       Insurance industry experience, with preference for Travel Insurance / Assistance is a plus

Skills

·       Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills

·       Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions

·       Good technical skills

·       Excellent documentation skills

·       Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
